Besides the FBCLM represented with the director of the Project, Ismael Serrano, were present the Doctor in Physical Education and Director of the UCLM-FBCLM Classroom, Mauro Sánchez, and the representatives of the University of Coimbra, Catarina Amorin, of the KSOBZ Federation (Croatia), Sena Matesic, and of Physis (Greece), Giannis Tsiaras.

Bask@school (09/03/23) | This Thursday the Aula “Fernando Díaz-Ropero” of the FBCLM hosted the first work meeting within the project “BaskatSchool” integrated within the European Erasmus + Projects. In addition to the FBCLM and the UCLM, representatives of the University of Coimbra (Portugal), Physis (Greece) and KSOBZ Federation (Croatia) were present at this first contact meeting.

Javier Ortega, Councillor for Sports of the City of Alcazar de San Juan, along with the Vice President FBCLM, Alfonso Arraez, welcomed all members of this conference moments before starting the joint work sessions. After a brief presentation, the different presentations of the speakers and the exchange of ideas began.

Catarina Amorim based her presentation on the launching of a framework project based on the implementation of basketball training in schools. She showed in turn the actions undertaken to create this framework for our sport in elementary school as an extracurricular activity.

Phd Mauro Sanchez presented the Didactic Unit in which the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the FBCLM are working for the implementation of Basketball continuously in schools in Castilla-La Mancha and whose pilot project is about to be launched in the province of Toledo. All this with a clear objective, to promote the practice of basketball in our region, to use a methodology that favors the practice in young people, to improve health through sports practice, and therefore, to provide sports equipment to the different schools participating in this project.

Former Croatian player and KSOBZ representative, Sena Matesic, also based her presentation on the actions undertaken through her federation for the design of a specific training program implemented in the schools of her country and region.

Along the same lines. Giannis Tsiaras, also presented his ideas based on the same implementation of the program but through Associated Schools and sports clubs in each of the cities to reach directly through the specialized clubs.
